67th Annual Tony Awards

The 67th annual Tony Awards were held June 9th in NYC. Both nominees and presenters were making statements in their lavish gowns and tuxedos on the red carpet.

Anna Kendrick, from the “Twilight” saga and “Pitch Perfect” wore a stunning strapless black and navy Donna Karan Atelier with beige accents. Accessorizing with Christian Louboutin shoes, matching Amrapali jewelry and a Edie Parker clutch.

Jane Krakowski from “30 Rock” wore a sparkling gown by Escada

Audra McDonald after ditched her scrubs from “Private Practice”, looked gorgeous in a simple black and white color block Davie Meister gown with perfectly pink teardrop earrings.

“Smash”’ star Bernadette Peters wore an emerald green shredded-chiffon mermaid styled Donna Karan with matching emerald and diamond David Webb jewels and a black clutch.

Beth Behrs from “2 Broke Girls” wore a magnificent Monique Lhuillier black and nude beaded halter neck gown. Maybe she’s not so broke after all.

Some gowns were over the top in a good way, having emphasized accent pieces to make a bolder statement.

 

Angela Bassett from the TV movie “Betty and Coretta” took the Tony awards by storm in her strapless amethyst chiffon with silver sequins and crushed pearl bodice a feature from Theia’s spring 2013 collection. Completing her gown with Lorriane Schwartz jewels.  Some may think her earrings are too much but I think she rocks ‘em.

“One Life to Live” Valisia LeKae worked a Esosa gown with a Swarovski clutch and jewelry.

The Leading Men were a vision in white at the 67th annual Tony awards.

 

The hilarious Alan Cumming from “Web Therapy”, threw up the peace sign while walking down the red carpet.

Mike Tyson known for boxing but also for his cameo in “The Hangover” was struttin’ his stuff on the red carpet hand in hand with wife Lakiha Spicer.

A common theme among the men that attended was a statement making tie in the color red.

 

Keith Carradine and wife Hayley Carradine matched with his red tie and her red dress.
