Despite the couples second split two months ago..and despite Perry telling Vogue that she is “not in a relationship,” there is still plenty of reason to believe that the pop star and ‘Paper Doll’ singer are, shall we say, ‘romantically involved’.
Monday Night, the two were spotted leaving the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, where the Friars Foundation Applause Award Gala took place to honor comic, Don Rickles. Although Mayer arrived alone, Katy Perry wasn’t far behind! Before dinner was served, Perry arrived and joined John at his table.
Not only were they together, they were also caught whispering in each others ears, rubbing each others backs and getting ‘Lovey Dovey’.
Mayer paid tribute to legendary comic, Rickles, by performing the classic tune, “One for my Baby and One More for the Road”. During his performance, onlookers say Perry was “enamored” by his singing. When John returned to the table, the two shared a big ol’smooch on the lips…Make that several smooches!
This isn’t the first time this week that Mayer and Perry were spotted together. Saturday night, the two were spotted at the Greenwich Hotel and Bowery Hotel. A source says that the on-again, off-again couple gave the impression that they were 100% back together.
So maybe Katy Perry was trying to tell us something when she told Vogue that she was still “madly in love.”
