The two pop divas found themselves in the media over the weekend as both of the singers had songs off their new albums leaked. Lady Gaga’s “Applause”, whose original debut was not supposed to be until August 19th, was leaked over the Internet on Saturday. Gaga is keeping the rest of the album and tracks under wraps until its official release though.
Katy Perry also found herself in the same situation as her new track, “Roar”, was leaked on Saturday as well. The “Teenage Dream” singer was expected to have an exciting release of the new song on Monday, August 12th on New York’s Z100 but was forced to air it early due to the leak.
Both ladies found themselves in a tizzy over the weekend and tweeted back and fourth to each other for support. Gaga started off the tweeting rant with strong words over the situation, calling for Perry’s support. The two joined forces in their effort to make people respect artists and their music. However, with advance technology in the music industry, artists are having a harder time keeping their music under wraps!
To check out more music from Gaga and Perry, you are just going to have to wait until their albums drop early this fall! Lady Gaga’s album “Artpop” is dropping on November 11th, 2014. Katy Perry’s “Prism” will be released on October 22nd.
