NBC shocked viewers and critics alike when they cancelled multiple shows (“1600 Penn”, “Go On”, “Up All Night”, “The New Normal”, “Guys with Kids”, “Smash”, “Whitney”, and “Deception”) after the season ended this spring.

They are introducing six new shows this fall to fill up all the available time slots.  Here is the scoop on each of the shows.

Sean Hayes returns to NBC primetime this fall in “Sean Saves The World.” Hayes plays a divorced dad that has to deal with a pushy mom, Linda Lavin, a 14-year-old daughter, Sami Isler, and eccentric employees at work, Thomas Lennon, Echo Kellum, and Megan Hilty.  The show premieres on Thursday October 3 9/8c.

On “The Blacklist”, James Spader’s character “Raymond “Red” Reddington”, a wanted FBI fugitive, surrenders himself to the FBI.  He promises to help them catch a long-thought-dead terrorist with the condition he will only communicate with Megan Boone’s character “Elizabeth “Liz” Keen”, a FBI profiler who has been on the job less than a week.  The show premieres on Monday September 23 at 10/9c.

MJF show

“The Michael J. Fox Show” starring Mike Henry takes place five years after the beloved news anchor was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and decided to take time off to be with his family.  Having grown tired of hanging around the house he decides to go back to work.  The show is set to premiere on Thursday September 26.
