Before the winners were even announced at last night’s Emmys, these stars had already stolen our hearts with their red carpet looks.

Rose Byrne channelled simple elegance in a pale pink Calvin Klein Collection gown, and debuted a stunning new blonde bombshell look. The actress was there to support boyfriend Bobby Cannavale, who called her “the love of my life” in his acceptance speech for Outstanding Supporting Actor in “Boardwalk Empire.” No wonder she’s glowing!

Also working the neutral trend was Shasi Wells, who made up one half of the best dressed couple at the awards, with boyfriend and “Hostages” star Dylan McDermott.

A few celebrities opted for bolder colors last night. Tina Fey stood out in blue Narciso Rodriguez – which looked even better as she accepted her award for Outstanding Writing for “30 Rock”  – while “Homeland”s Morena Baccarin swathed her baby bump in a gorgeous red Alexander McQueen dress.

Elisabeth Moss proved that she’s just as good at capturing our attention off-screen as on, wearing an embellished monochrome dress by Andrew Gn. The actress was nominated twice this year, both for her iconic role as “Peggy Olson” in “Mad Men,” and for her performance in Jane Campion’s critically-acclaimed miniseries “Top of the Lake.”

Moss’s “Mad Men” guest co-star, Linda Cardellini, also made an impression at the Emmys. Best known for her role as army-jacket-loving “Lindsay Weir” in cult classic “Freaks and Geeks,” Cardellini’s flowing Donna Karan Atelier dress was a real winner that marked her evolution from “freak” to fashion-forward.

But we can’t forget the boys! While Ryan Seacrest made a faux-pas by rocking the same grey tux as both Will Arnett and Ty Burrell last night, Zachary Quinto showed us how men can subvert the classic penguin suit without risking a döppelganger (or two) in elegant Givenchy.
