Barbara Walters announced her always-famous list of 2013’s most fascinating people!

The list, as usual, does not disappoint. From British heir to the throne, Prince George to controversial Wikileaks whistle blower Edward Snowden, and even the leader of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis, the list holds a wide variety of famous faces of all ages.

“Good Morning America” anchor Robin Roberts returned to air in February after receiving a bone marrow transplant for Myelodyplastic Syndrome, just five years after recovering from a public battle with breast cancer. Her courage to reveal her illness on air drove a 1,800 percent increase in donors for the National Marrow Donor Program and earned her a spot on Walters’ list.

Another example of extreme female courage is Diana Nyad, who became the first person to swim from Cuba to Florida without the protection of a shark cage at the age of 64!

It’s no surprise that Hollywood’s “girl next door”, Jennifer Lawrence made the cut. With starring in one of the biggest movie franchises of the year, Lawrence showed that no amount of fame or spotlight could change her down to earth demeanor.

The not so “girl next door” musician Miley Cyrus also snagged a spot on Barbara Walter’s coveted list. With the release of her new album “Bangerz” and her very public image transformation, Cyrus has certainly earned her spot.

Another musician on the list is Kanye West, along with his reality star fiancé and new mother, Kim Kardashian. The two, who have each already made the list separately in previous years, have been coined “Kimye” and seem to draw attention and fascination in everything they do.

Who would have thought that a family of duck callers could gain so much attention? The cast of “Duck Dynasty” did just that and even earned a spot on Barbara Walters most fascinating people of 2013 list.

As usual, Walters will reveal her final and “most fascinating” person when the episode airs on December 18 at 9:30 p.m. on ABC.  The 21st edition will mark the last special from Walters, who announced her retirement in May. With the departure of Walters, the only question is, when will she make the list! Who knows… maybe she’ll make number one this year!
