Singer Ke$ha recently entered rehab for an eating disorder. The “Timber” singer released a statement on Friday explaining that she will be completing a 30-day treatment in hopes to learn “to love myself again. Exactly as I am.”

The 26-year-old, who came to fame in 2010 with her hit song “Tik-Tok” was the target of bullies in 2011 when she was criticized for how she looked in a bikini.  Ke$ha clearly took the criticism hard, as anyone would, and by April of last year showed off a much slimmer figure.

By the time the video for her latest single “Timber” was released in November, the singer was looking even thinner. New reports have suggested that this was due to the constant scrutiny and pressure from those around her, including her longtime producer Dr. Luke. One source even said the producer had recently referred to her as a “refrigerator,” which is absolutely unacceptable!

Ke$ha has always been one to send a message of confidence and staying true to yourself to her fans. Unfortunately, some things are easier said than done. The usually self-assured singer admitted that it isn’t always as easy to take your own advice, stating, “I’m a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself but I’ve found it hard to practice.”

No one, celebrity or not, deserves to be bullied. ITM is rooting for Ke$ha and a healthy, happy recovery!
