Question….Did you watch the Grammys?
Well, if you enjoy Daytime TV shows such as Springer and Queen Latifah with premeditated, over the top cheesy non-climatic spectacles, you may have appreciated the Grammys this year, complete with a thirty-three couple “live” and less then meaningful group marriage. Ummm what the heck does group marriage have to do with celebrating award-winning MUSIC????? Hello? MUSIC? NOTHING!
Bad call Grammys producer man. You saved the best for last but you cut the best performance? (Insert Scooby Doo Huhhh?)
Instead, of gracefully ringing out the show with a historical Rock performance of the night, the Network decides to cut the best part of any live performance, let alone the Grammys, they cut a historical, memorable Rock collaboration starring music royalty including; Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor, The Foo Fighters frontman, Dave Grohl and Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme…ALL critically acclaimed artists whose performances got shat on as the end credits and sponsor ads rolled.
ITM hears Reznor personally invested money into the prematurely cut performance. Reznor even tweeted this remark post show, “Music’s biggest night… to be disrespected. A heartfelt FUCK YOU guys.”
One thing the Grammys didn’t miss – another year of proving to real fans of music around the world that it’s not about the music, it’s about the Benjamin’s’ baby!
Grammy producers take note: If you ever have the honor of booking real musicians’ next year, less Cirque du Soleil and more actual MUSIC please.
P.S. – ITM realizes we are the minority in this opinion, as most fearful following fellows usually enjoy whatever is dished out for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Yes, more slop and extra cheesssse please!
