Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell are pleading to the public to boycott magazines that pay paparazzi a.k.a. photographers to take picture of celebrity’s kids.
The distressed couple sources several major magazines of being guilty of the act including- People, Star, InTouch, and UsWeekly.
The boycott was launch via Twitter. Shepard let everyone know what magazines to boycott by hashtagging the guilty outlets.
“Please boycott magazines that run pics of ‘celebrity children.’ They shouldn’t be punished for who their parents are,” tweetedDax. “Children shouldn’t be stalked #boycottusweekly #boycottstar #boycottpeople #boycottintouch #boycottboycottboycott.”
Bell, clearly a mama bear, took a more “emotional” appeal on Twitter.
“I wont do interviews 4 entities that pay photogs to take pics of my baby anymore. I care more about my integrity & my values than my career… The ‘look at the celebs kid at the park!’ teaches us a disengaged vouyerism. think abt how being followed by photos all day effects THE KID.”
ITM caught up with Bell when she was pregnant with her daughter, Lincoln.
She was already demonstrating her love for her child and her plea to keep her child separate from the public.
When ITM asked about the sex of the baby Bell was adamant on keep it a secret. “Yeah,” Bell told ITM, “we’re just keeping it a secret.”
