THE BEST OF THE GREAT LATE NIGHT SHAKE-UP: A COUNTDOWN

Daily Mixx Fixx

By ITM Staff

We have to admit, NBC’s new late night hosts are killing it. Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers have been calling in all their favors and pulling out all the stops to make sure that every moment of their debuts goes viral.

And just for you, ITM has a countdown of the best moments so far!

7. DREW BARRYMORE AND ADAM SANDLER REUNITE

One of our favorite rom-com pairings reunited on “Jimmy Fallon” last night to promote their upcoming film, “Blended.” The pair also performed an original song, “Every 10 Years,” which pays tribute to how they continue to reunite to make a movie every ten years.

6. KANYE WEST DROPS SOME KNOWLEDGE ON Y’ALL

Kanye West appeared on “Late Night” for a brief lecture on his “sonic paintings.”

5. THE HISTORY OF RAP

Fallon teamed up with Justin Timberlake last Friday for an epic rundown of the history of rap, from the Sugarhill Gang to Snoop Dogg.

4. THE NEW BANDLEADERS

If we got to choose an in-house band, we’d probably pick The Roots too, although Meyers’ “SNL” co-star Fred Armisen does a great job holding up “Late Night.”

3. AMY POEHLER AND SETH MEYERS – BEST FRIENDS FOREVER

We’re not surprised that Meyers picked Amy Poehler as one of his first guests – these two go way back to their early days at “SNL.”

2. THAT LIP-SYNC BATTLE

Paul Rudd gave an epic performance of Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now,” battling Fallon’s “Jukebox Hero” with panache.

1. FALLON INTERVIEWS HARRY STYLES

Kristen Wiig gave up her own slot on “The Tonight Show” to don a suit and impersonate “One Direction” star Harry Styles. It is, in one word, amazing:

We can’t wait to see what the guys will do tonight!
