A taste of the Middleton family might be coming to morning television.
NBC is considering offering Pippa Middleton a correspondent job on ‘Today.’ This comes just after she sat down for her first television interview this week.
Sources told Page Six that several major networks have been trying to sign Pippa for a long time, but NBC is ready to take a fresh approach to her. The network reportedly offered her $600,000 to be a royal correspondent in 2012. Now, the sister of Kate Middleton could appear in special reports rather than working on reports about royalty. This is similar to Jenna Bush Hager and Chelsea Clinton’s roles as special corespondents for the show.
While Middleton was just in the States last week for a cross-country charity bike ride, ‘Today’ host Matt Lauer flew out to London for her first television interview. He asked her about the bike event and also “what it is like to be Pippa Middleton.” The past three years of her life have been “extraordinary” as Lauer put it with her sister’s marriage to Prince William. The interview is set to air on ‘Today’ on Monday, June 30 and Tuesday, July 1.
ITM’s host Gina Giordan caught up with Matt Lauer in the Hamptons when he was celebrating the release of his Hamptons Magazine cover. Check out the interview with the morning show host here.
