New York Cities very own Rock and Rollers, Sweet Cyanide will rev up the crowd before Alice Cooper and Mötley Crüe take the stage in front of fans tonight at the sold out Buffalo Chip Sturgis concert in South Dakota!
Most Rock and Rollers know, life on the road aint easy yet, Sweet Cyanide members Sal Scoca, Angelo Fariello, Del Cheetah and J Bomb didn’t expect this kind of turbulence en route to their big Sturgis show.
While the band was traveling from Newark to Chicago via United Airlines, their connecting flight from Chicago O’Hare International Airport to Rapid City experienced weather issues, technical difficulties and a lack of staff.
A United Airlines rep admitted to Sweet Cyanide front man, Sal Scoca, “we only have the pilot available to fly this connecting flight to Dakota. There is currently no crew available to fly the plane.”
Despite the fact that the band had only about an hour of sleep on the airport cots (see pics) before tonight’s big show, it still doesn’t make United the worst airline in the world right?
After some major maneuvering, the boys arrived safely on the Chip grounds this afternoon. Fans can expect Sweet Cyanide to hit the main stage at Sturgis Buffalo Chip tonight where an estimated 100,000 ticket holders will be waiting!
If you miss out on Sweet Cyanide tonight, the band will also be opening for “The Pretty Reckless” and “Cheap Trick” on Friday, August 8th!
Don’t expect Sweet Cyanide to be wearing their fancy on-stage attire. Unfortunately their bags didn’t arrive on time. Scoca said, “it’s not about the clothes, It’s about the music.”
