MTV star Diem Brown has passed away this morning at the age of 32 after her third battle with cancer.
The reality actress was best known for her role on MTV’s “Real World/Road Rules Challenge” and began battling Ovarian Cancer when she was just 21-years-old. Through the years Diem overcame ovarian cancer twice, eventually succumbing to her third battle with the horrible disease.
Diem was a strong advocate of the OCRF. The organization raises money and awareness for Ovarian Cancer research. Diem had become a regular attendee at the annual Super Saturday event for the past several years.
MYWW host Gina Giordan spoke with an always-positive Diem last season at the charity event. The MTV star said, “More research, more empowerment for this disease is amazing and seeing all this right here it really makes you feel good because Ovarian Cancer is a silent killer. So this is really giving it a megaphone.”
Diem took to twitter just the other day to say, “I need prayers and advice. My doctors are seemingly giving up but I won’t & can’t rollover. Whatever option I have to LIVE I’m gabbing!”
Diem stayed positive until the end, leaving behind her upbeat attitude along with her hard work and dedication with the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.
