Earlier this week, Lily Tomlin premiered her latest film, “Grandma” at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival along with fellow cast members, Julia Garner and Laverne Cox.

The breakout comedy stars Tomlin as the crass, foul mouthed but extremely loving grandmother of Garner’s character, Sage.

When Julia finds herself in some unexpected trouble, she turns to her grandma, who navigates her through a rollercoaster of emotion and trouble while trying to help.

The film also stars Marcia Gay Harden, Judy Greer and Nat Wolff.

Written and directed by Paul Weitz, who also wrote the Oscar nominated film “About a Boy,” the movie made its Tribeca premiere to a packed audience!

Weitz, Tomlin, Garner, Cox and Wolff all walked the red carpet for Monday night’s premiere and even gave a Q&A following the film, which included more statements than questions.

One audience member addressed Tomlin saying, “You’re finally going to win your Oscar!” to which Tomlin replied, “That would be nice!”  Following the explosion of applause and whistles another fan of the film simply asked Tomlin, “What is it like to be a goddess?”

Following the premiere, it was clear that this is one of Tomlin’s best films to date and may even get her that Oscar!
