Legendary restaurateur, model and TV personality B. Smith will be celebrated on Monday, May 11th with performances by Broadway stars, Voice Actors, TV personalities and acclaimed performers in the event, Voices Remember!
After Smith went public with her personal struggle with Alzheimer’s disease, friends, family and fans have gathered around the 65-year-old and husband Dan Gasby in an attempt to bring more awareness to the disease. The couple even testified on Capitol Hill before the “Senate Committee on Aging” in an attempt to share their mission.
Voices Remember will take an in depth look at the couple’s fight to raise understanding of not only those suffering from the disease, but those caring for them.
The upcoming evening of entertainment will feature performances from Tony nominee Keith David, star of “Mary Poppins” and “Les Miserables” Megan Osterhaus, Motown’s N’Kenge, opera star John Davies and so many more!
In addition to award winning entertainment, the evening will feature gourmet delights of master chef, Marcus Samuelson’s Red Rooster of Harlem!
All proceeds from the evening will support the educational efforts of Positive Approach to Care created by nationally recognized dementia educator and trainer, Teepa Snow, which helps thousands of people across the U.S. and Canada learn to cope with changing needs due to the effects of dementia.
